Material Process Systems was founded in 2003 by Matthew V. Josephs and Steven Urbatsch, both artists by background and wood- and metalworkers by trade. Located in the energetic, burgeoning neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, MPS is a dynamic young company with a unique combination of experience, management skills, and state-of-the-art equipment. We provide products and services that function and endure, and we believe in superior design and dedication to craft. MPS aims to be an efficient company manufacturing well-made and thoughtfully designed products.

MPS offers MPS Kitchen and Bath cabinets, contract manufacturing for commercial projects, and cutting-edge, environmentally friendly cellulose fiber and resin fabrication. MPS is also proud to introduce Plateau, a new line of multifunctional, streamlined, eco-conscious furniture designed by DESU DESIGN for either indoor or outdoor use.

Every company is built by and around its people; MPS employs skilled engineers and craftsmen, which enables us to execute complex projects in wood, metal and composite materials. Managing communication, flow of information, and material with integrity ensures successful projects, so it is our highest priority to work closely with the architects and contractors on every project.
